Description

The old part of the Meža Cemeteryis created almost like a park, where you can see decorative shrubs and trees of various forms, as well as peculiar monuments and sculptures of small architectural forms. Here, at the foot of the hill, the warriors' cemetery was created during the 30-ties of the 20^th century with a monument of young soldier with a weapon in his hands, giving an oath of allegiance to his nation. This monument is considered to be one of the best artworks by K. Zemdega.
