Description

In the past, a settlement of ancient Latvians was found in Kartavkalns. There is an opinion that the Hanging Hill of Jaunpils might be Babote, which was mentioned in the Livonian Rhymed Chronicle, because it is the only castle mound with a dyke found between Dobele and Kuldīga.
